February

Hard to believe its February already.  Time flies.  Our 3rd quarter ends in only a couple of weeks.  Boy have I been busy.  This seems to be a popular time for teachers to realize that their students need more help.  Its nice being in a position where I can make changes and be the expert even when I don't feel like one.

Last Friday our school had an International Day.  We had booths representing different countries including demonstrations, games and food put on by the parents.  There was also a variety of food to choose from at lunch representing several nations.  I had a Chinese/German lunch.  I'm a sucker for dumplings and sausage.  After lunch, the students dressed up in their natives costumes and had a parade.  It was a lot of fun and the students seemed to enjoy themselves.  The day concluded with a performance where different classes and students sang and danced to songs from different countries.  Its amazing how many different countries our school represents.
